Katherine received her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Religious Studies (2012), and her M.A. at the University of Iowa in Religious Studies, with an emphasis on Native American religious traditions. Her Master’s thesis concerned the relationship between the Anishinaabeg, wolves, and settlers, especially in light of the recent wolf hunting controversy in the United States. Before coming to the University of Florida, she worked as an instructor in K-12 education. Her current research interests include Northern European animism, Indigenous religious traditions, traditional ecological knowledge, ethnoecology, Paganism, and magical/occult systems.
