The Department of Religion welcomes undergraduate students to engage in research and to work closely with religion faculty on projects of their interest. This research can be part of an honor thesis or other projects developed by students in consultation with faculty members.

Russell Lowell Jaberg Award For Academic Excellence
The Russell Lowell Jaberg Award For Academic Excellence recognizes outstanding achievement by a graduating religion major.
Center for African Studies
The Center for African Studies sponsors a variety of collaborative interdisciplinary working groups with funding from a USED National Resource Center and the UF Office of Research. These groups provide a forum for faculty and graduate students to pursue research and funding initiatives that cut across standard academic units.
McNair Scholars Program
The McNair Scholars Program prepares undergraduate students for the pursuit of a doctoral degree through funding, mentoring, and research opportunities.
The University Scholars Program
The University Scholars Program introduces undergraduate students to the world of academic research by allowing students to work one-on-one with UF Faculty on selected research projects.
Emerging Scholars Program
Emerging Scholars Program encourages early undergraduate students who are interested in adding research experience to their curriculum.
CLAS Scholars Program
The CLAS Scholars programs gives undergraduate students the opportunity to work one-on-one with UF faculty to pursue research and gain insights into how new knowledge is created and developed.
Fulbright U.S. Student Program
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for individually designed research projects. The Program allows students to meet, work, and live with people of the host country. Students will be able to gain an appreciation of others beliefs, the way they do things, and the way they think.
Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship
The Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship provides students with an opportunity to undertake intensive study of a language related to their topic of research. These fellowships are available for the summer and academic year and are provided through the following departments:
Undergraduate Study Abroad Travel Funding
The Center for European Studies gives students the opportunity to study abroad with five affiliated programs. Students will be awarded grants to assist them in their program.
JM Chair Student Travel Awards
The Center for European studies provides funding for students pursuing European Union related research to participate in academic workshops and conferences.
Summer Undergraduate International Research Program
The Summer Undergraduate International Research Program provides undergraduate researchers with the opportunity to conduct research at a foreign institution.
